Welke goes to China

Richard J. Welke, Director of the Center for Process Innovation in the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University has accepted an invitation to speak at China Private Economy Innovation International Forum 2007, which will be held in Taizhou, a city near Shanghai, from August 11-12 The symposium is organized and sponsored by the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing, and the Taizhou Economic Association, Taizhou, China. The purpose of the symposium is to explore the regional perspective on Chinese economic innovation while analyzing globalization influences and to discuss how local and regional resources and capabilities can be used to spur innovation and improve competitivenessThe trip will be combined with a visit to City University of Hong Kong to work on  joint research with Dr. Kuldeep Kumar who is currently a faculty member at the University there.
